My weigh in after using Sensa for one month
After one month I lost only three pounds. Now you may think that it’s not much. But remember I didn’t change my eating habits. I didn’t cut back or only ate salads. I ate cheese and chocolate when I felt like it. (A little too much in my opinion.) I had a glass of wine occasionally and I didn’t start a new exercise routine either.
But I felt that Sensa worked almost immediately. I didn’t feel hungry between meals. I felt fuller quicker and was more satisfied after eating. There was one busy morning when I didn’t feel hungry for breakfast until almost lunch time. I was amazed that it worked so quickly. I can be a bottomless pit at times and never feel full, so I’m enjoy the affect this product has on my hunger.
However, Sensa doesn’t work the same for everyone. Men usually lose weight at a steady rate month after month. Most women take up to two to three months before they start seeing results, but then begin to lose weight at an accelerated rate. Women will tend to lose weight faster than men in months 4, 5 and 6.
A few issues with the product
My biggest problem with Sensa was remembering to use it. They give you two Sensa Tastant shakers – one to keep on the kitchen table and one in your purse or briefcase. (Great idea!) But sometimes even if the darn shaker is right in front of me, I forget to use it until I’ve eaten a few bites, or even my whole meal. The advice the Sensa people give is not to worry about it, just to remember to use it the next time you eat.
Also, people do look a bit funny at you when you shake the Sensa Tastants on your food. However, I enjoy explaining to friends about the product. Most found it very interesting and told me to let them know if it worked.
Even though according to the FAQs, you don’t need to use Sensa in soup or smoothies, only solid or semi-solid foods, I found that I needed to. I sometimes have just liquids for breakfast, like a fruit and yogurt shake or a cafe au lait. The one morning I had a probiotic yogurt for breakfast, I was starving a few hours later. So I sprinkle the tastants on my more substantial liquids, too.
Finally, I noticed bigger surges in appetite during “that time of the month.” During that time I’m always starving and in a “must eat everything in the house” mood. This past month it seemed a bit worse even though I was using Sensa Tastants the whole time. Maybe my hunger was normal during that hormonal time and just seemed worse in comparison to the previous week when Sensa was working so well for me.
